Executive Functioning and Community Support
Executive Functioning classes help your child with fundamental skills for community success, including initiating, planning and completing multistep activities, organizing their materials and belongings, starting and finishing tasks, following routines, managing time, and participating in cooperative tasks. Focus on generalizing skills in self-regulation, sensory processing, social-emotional, and adaptive skills to community routines. Program plans are adapted to suit children of all developmental levels.
Feeding interventions for picky eaters ages 2 and up
- Challenges with fine or gross motor skills
- Difficulty with or limited interest in drawing, building, manipulating toys, or pretend play
- Repetitive play patterns or a strong preference for sameness
- Hesitation, distress, or avoidance when trying new activities
- Difficulty generating new play ideas or expanding beyond familiar routines
- High energy levels that are difficult to organize or channel
- Limited back-and-forth interaction during play
- Seeking or avoiding specific sensory experiences (textures, sounds, movement)
- Frequently bumps into things, crashes, or seeks intense movement
- A strong need for things to be done in a particular way
- Challenges with flexibility, transitions, or unexpected changes
- Difficulty building relationships with family members or peers
- Big emotions, frustration, or overwhelm that are difficult to manage
- A need for a child-led, play-based approach to regulation, communication, and development
Through individualized, play-based support, children build greater confidence with play, movement, and everyday activities. Sessions help children strengthen motor skills and body awareness while developing the attention, planning, flexibility, problem-solving, and persistence needed to engage in play, complete activities, and navigate everyday routines.
