About Jackie Bresnahan

MS OTR/L, SWC, RYT
Occupational Therapist

Licensed Occupational Therapist, ICDL verified DIR Floortime Practitioner, California Board Certified in Feeding and Swallowing, Registered Yoga Teacher.

Jackie believes in a holistic and organic approach to therapy, rooted in play and connection. She values the caregiver alliance and strives to serve not only her little clients, but to be a support to their caretakers as well. She received her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Tufts University in 2012 and has practiced in pediatrics since the start of her OT career with experience in school, hospital, and clinic settings. She has a passion for working with neurodivergent children, and has worked with this population in educational and therapeutic settings since 2007.

Jackie is committed to professional development and in addition to her DIR training, she has completed courses in sensory integration, feeding therapy including SOS Approach to Feeding and Get Permission Approach to Feeding. She received her California Board Certification in Feeding and Swallowing. She is also trained in the Handwriting Without Tears curriculum.

Jackie has a passion for collaboration and sharing knowledge. She has assumed various leadership and management roles throughout her career and has served as a mentor to many Pediatric Occupational Therapists and Level II Occupational Therapy Students. Jackie has been practicing yoga for over 15 years and earned her credential as a Registered Yoga Teacher. She is an advocate for the importance of understanding the mind-body connection, and cultivating self-regulation through movement and breath. Jackie is ecstatic to bring DIR Floortime principles to the community. California OT License #15317.

Self Determination –
Executive Functioning and Community Support

Executive Functioning classes help your child with fundamental skills for community success, including initiating, planning and completing multistep activities, organizing their materials/ belongings, starting and finishing tasks, following routines, managing time, and participating in cooperative tasks. Focus on generalizing skills in self-regulation, sensory processing, social-emotional, and adaptive skills to community routines. Program plans are adapted to suit children of all developmental levels.

Ground to Grow accepts Regional Center Self-Determination Program (SDP) / Financial Management Service funding to access qualifying community support services. Call or email us today and to discuss establishing a customized program plan to support your child.

Ground to Grow is out of network with all insurances.  A superbill for submission to your insurance company can be provided to you upon request. Contact your insurance company for details about their potential reimbursement policies for occupational therapy superbills.
